Comments: Thank you for visiting Huntington Beach High School's production of Phantom. My daughters (Ruby & Sadie) were in the audience and came home screaming. My youngest (Sadie) was crying. She couldn't believe you came to our local high school. Sadie has been such a huge fan of yours and discovered you via Wall-E. She turned 13 this year and she included your performance of Put on Your Sunday Clothes from Hello, Dolly! in her Bat Mitzvah video. We are huge fans. Your outreach and inspirational words have made an impact that will last with them forever.

Comments: Dear Michael Crawford,

I am unsure if this will ever actually reach you, but I felt as though I had to reach out in some way.

I have recently finished watching the taped version of your performance in "Barnum" for the second time, and I am perhaps even more moved by your emotionally raw and incredibly touching acting. I am an actor myself, though only in High School, aspiring to the talent that you possess. Watching that show is like watching a Master Class in theatre for me, because your real and natural presence onstage, not as an actor but as a human, a living breathing character that you brought to life, gives me the perfect role model to aspire to.

Your "daredevil spirit" is a daring and confidence I too take advantage of in trying to bring characters to life. But no doubt watching you has helped direct me as to how to better do that and showcase honest and sincere storytelling.

My apologies for the length of this, but I had to let you know the impact you have had on me in some way. You are one of the greats sir, and after laughing hilariously and crying profusely from "Barnum" twice now, as well as your other works I have seen from "Hello Dolly" and "A Funny Thing", you are truly an inspiration.

Thank you again, and have a great evening.

Sincerely, Michael

Comments: I would say my parents gave me a well rounded appreciation for the Arts. They introduced me to many styles of music and movies. The first time I saw you was in Hello Doll, Hysterical!!! The next time I heard your lungs was on the Phantom of the Opera Soundtrack, which I played over and over again trying to figure out what was going on. I regret never getting to Broadway in NYC to see you in person playing The Phantom (The best Phantom of all)! Thank you for blessing us with your talent all these years!!!

Comments: I am 53 now and remember when I was a child in the early 70's and laughing like crazy about the character Frank Spencer, so funny! I still pronounce people who are clumsy by saying hey Frank Spencer...I saw some episodes this week on DVD and still laughed like in the old days. Thank you, the world is all that bad nowadays and watching this funny episodes is helping to forget the bad things happening on this planet.

Comments: Looking back on the time in 2008 when I saw Disney PIXAR's 'Wall•E', and the first thing the viewer hears is the voice of Michael Crawford in 'Hello, Dolly!' (Since theb I've been a fan if that musical.) It still makes me smile that I became such a fan of 'Phantom' such a long time ago, and have refallen in love with Michael since! When reading his book, I saw someome who went through good times and tragedies, and the philosophy of always cherishing the good. That, and his smile, have been helping me through a trying time in my life; But I have faith that it will get better. I light up when I hear Michael's voice, and I feel so fortunate to have his music and humor in my life. ?? I thank him for his humbleness and goodness.

God bless, ~Erin Flayhan

Comments: As a child some mothers was a firm favourite, however the true love affair started when I saw Barnum! I was 15 yes old, and would travel into central London and pay £1 to stand at the back and watch. I think I saw it 17 times. At the age of 16, I read an article in the guardian about Phantom and my friend begged her dad to let us use his credit card to book tickets ... we got tickets for the 5th night, centre of dress circle... a memory I will never forget . That's when my scrap book started... sadly I don't still have it, but as a teenager I was obsessed. Two years ago I travelled to London to see the go between ... and got to meet my man.. Next year will be very special, and my daughter is performing in one of the first school performances of Phantom in Australasia.. how special will that be... that's why I'm thinking of Michael right now. What an amazing opportunity to perform in such a fantastic musical. Michael will always be my favourite phantom

Comments: Hi Mr. Crawford, my name is Audrey, and it is such an honor to be able to sign your guestbook!

My main reason for writing is to let you know how much I have come to love your music. Your Christmas CD “A Christmas Album” has grown to be my favorite CD of ALL time, and I listen to it year-round. A few years back, I went through a really hard time with anxiety and OCD. But every time I would stop and listen to your Christmas CD when I was feeling the littlest bit anxious, it was like hearing God pour out His love on me through your words about Jesus and His birth. I cannot begin to thank God enough for using you to encourage me through those dark times. Christmas has always been my favorite time of year and your album magnifies it for me. Thank you!

My second reason for writing is to tell you that about four or five years ago I had the privilege of meeting an old friend of yours, Laurie Gayle Stephenson. She was a guest singer at a private dinner for a Bible study of all things. :) She sang, gave her testimony about knowing the Lord Jesus Christ, and then mentioned that she worked on Broadway when she was younger. I believe God was stirring my heart to ask her a question, and I was so shocked when her answer was “yes!” I had asked her if she had ever met Michael Crawford while working on Broadway, and she said “Honey, I worked with Michael!” I was absolutely SO thrilled to find that out! Someone that I was talking to had actually worked with my favorite singer! It was such a wonderful moment, and I am so thankful to have gotten to meet Ms. Stephenson. :)

I also hope that I will be given the privilege to meet you oneday too, Mr. Crawford. But if not here on this earth, then I believe that someday we shall meet in the Presence of the One Who will make all things new.

God Bless you, Mr. Crawford, and thanks again! :) ~Audrey

Comments: Hello Michael-I first became a huge fan after hearing you in Phantom. I was absolutely mesmerized by your voice. Being from the Midwest, exposure to musical theater was extremely limited, so the original London cast recording was my way of experiencing your performance. I also enjoyed your performance in Hello Dolly. I am currently reading your autobiography and find it quite delightful. Via the internet, I have been able to see you in Some Mother's, which is brilliant. I also admire your charity work and the compassion you show to others. I wish you love, peace, health, and happiness.

Comments: Michael, Posted in Dec.2016 so maybe I am not allowed a second post. However, saw the Phantom in another showing and there is no disputing--you cannot be surpassed. I am a huge fan and have tried many times to contact MCIFA to be allowed access to updates. I own many cds, Barnum autobiography etc.etc. I am overwhelmed at all the hard work and self -discipline you have shown. The Go-Between was a huge success from what I have read, but not a surprise. I would love to see you bring it to the states. Am I out of line to request a signed picture? One more thing--no one could possibly sing Gethsemene as you do. Vivian Benshoff

Comments: May I sign the book twice? I did once in Dec. I took my daughter and grand daughter to Atlanta yesterday to see the Phantom of the Opera. As I said in the earlier posting, I saw you Michael in New York twice. The road shows are done well, but NOBODY can come close to your performance as the Phantom. I have so many of your cd's, your autobiography, the DVD Barnum which I love and I watch and listen to clips on the internet. One last comment--my favorite cd is the one on which you sing Gethsemene. I never cease to weep. Any chance of coming over the pond with The Go Between? This 80 year old fan would get there someway!

He was amazing in both, and I also will never forget getting to meet him at the mgm grand for fans to have him sign stuff, I waited for hours in that huge line, but you were so nice and signed my phantom book. And now at 33 years of age I have my own kids now that I am introducing you to them as the phantom as well. Thank you for always being such a bright spot in my life.

Comments: Hello to the MCIFA, and to Mr. Crawford!

I would just like to say to Michael, your work has absolutely inspired me in every way. Your performances in everything from Hello, Dolly! to The Phantom of the Opera are brilliant and incredibly nuanced, and as a 16 year old aspiring actor, I would love nothing so much in the world as the chance to meet you and thank you for your work, which was the catalyst for me becoming interested in musical theatre. The Phantom of the Opera means more to me than the air that I breathe, and each time I hear you sing something from the role, my heartbeat quickens and I feel like I am home. I know that it is a slim chance that I could ever be honored with the role of the Phantom, but if I ever do, it will be with respect to the deep understanding and love that you had for the man, and how much he meant to you, because as a young man who knows what he wants to do for the rest of his life, I have no one to thank but you. You have my sincere gratitude and reverence for the wonderful person that you are.

I hope you are very well, and I wish you a (soon to be) Happy 75th Birthday!

Love,Cameron

P.S. I was hoping that I might be able to send Michael a fan letter and, if it isn't too much trouble, a photograph for him to sign. What address can this be made out to?

Comments: When I think of my childhood and the tv series that we all loved, I think of Frank Spencer in 'Some Mothers Do 've em' like a big brother. This was one of the few shows that were aired in Cameroon tv and just like in UK, Frank became a household name. We even learned how to brake and spoil just like him! Awesome. I love the episode in which Frank went to attend the human resource program for five days! Not forgetting the one in which he had to call a doctor for Betty's mother. Since last week, I have been watching some great episodes of the series and it is amazing how entertaining it still is and how much of my childhood I can still remember. Thanks Michael Crawford for putting a laugh on our faces all these years and know that just like in the UK, there is a generation in Cameroon that will never forget you. Thanks.
