Comments: | Hi Michael, Got to see you in Women in White last Oct in London--and you of course were WONDERFUL!!! I just heard that ALW is planning a POTO reunion in NY on Jan 9,2006--re:Liz Smith-Sarah Brightman has said she will be there--I hope you keep that date open on your calendar, so both of you can finally get the recognition that you both deserve. I'd love to hear both of you sing all those great POTO songs again!! |

Comments: | HI michael! I just got one of your soundtracks, and it was not easy! When I first bought it i spent two hours trying to find my CD player, and then realized it was in my mother's car. I then proceeded to get my CD player, and I closed the door, and it locked, with my mom's keys, and the player, and your CD, in the car. My family then spent three hours prying the car door open with a coat hanger. After that, I grabbed my player and CD and went by the pool, to get away from my family, who was still angry at me for locking the car. I tripped over a rock and my CD player fell into the pool. I then spent an hour and a half drying out the CD player with a hair dryer. After that, I finnally got to listen to your CD, which was very good, but due to my recent episode, I don't plan to be allowed to buy another one for a very long time... |

Comments: | Greetings Monsieur Crawford and everybody It's actually the third or the foufrth time I visit this website...When I was five I fell in love with the voice of the phantom(so beautiful)!! Then I went to london and saw the show(my god!)and since then I always remember myself singing( mainly Andrew LLoyd Webber's musicals) Just five years ago I restart listening the cd of the phantom of the opera, and realised that Monsieur Crawford was still my favorite singer.^^ Since then I wanted to have other cds but in my small country poeple don't even know Michael Crawford(I was so shocked!!)But at last I found a small store who could make an order to have some(I was so happy)but they haven't arrived yet:-( listening to Michael Crawford singing gave my little tricks ( I am currently at one of the Music Academy of Switzerland(Singing Lessons))So thank you very much!!! I have a dream which I hope will come true one day: to once sing in the phantom of the opera I am very much looking forward to receive those cds!!!^^ Isabelle Badoux |

Comments: | What im i letting myself in 4! I Have recently been accepted into the Birmingham School of Acting in the UK. I have acted in many local groups 4 a long time & also played a lead roll in my towns pro pantomime. I have had many knock downs but have learnt 2 get up & get on with it. A skill which came in handy when i had 2 learn 2 walk a tightrope for a local theatre group a couple of years ago. I think you know the musical!!! The circus training i had in Bristol was fantastic & many a week i came back with aches & pains. I even suffer from vertigo! It was all worth while though when the explosion of the audience came after the 1st act. My singing teacher has helped me greatly, & as an ex phantom himself (Michael Sterling) it made me think once again of your many great achievements. You have given me great inspiration & i hope to wrk in a good variety of jobs as yourself in the future. Im really pleased i saw "The woman in White" and even caught a glimpse of you rushing to get into the stage door. I wouldnt have troubled you as i know how important timing is! I look forward to a challenging career & know how difficult the competition is. But one thing i have learnt is that you have to learn to walk before you run. Once again Many Thanx and keep up the great work. Andrew Fane |

Comments: | Greetings Monsieur Crawford and my fellow MCIFA friends. In truth, I did not 'Just Surfed On In' either. I have just got the confirmation today that I am now officially part of this Association - and I wished to introduce myself a little bit. As above, my name is Teena and I am presently 21 years old. I must confess that I have not been an obsessed fan of this man's work for long, but the name has been in my household for practically all of my life. My obsession became more pronounced after the death of my beloved father, Alen. I have been wanting to say this for so long, but "Thank you, sir". During the times when I felt my lowest, you were my consolation. During my depression, I was watching your career carefully. I needed to watch/hear what you had been up to, because I guess I needed to know that life still goes on. Forgive me, I'm babbling here. Really, I just wanted to say how much of a special angel this man is. Like others who have left messages here, I too hope and pray for a FULL recovery from this illness. Although, recovery seems to be a thing of the past now due to these concerts. Still, I wish you all the best, Monsieur Crawford. And I wish everyone here in this Association all the best. I am looking forward to meeting you all (at least, a great many of you!). Best wishes, love and successes for you all. Teena. P.S. Phew! I need to come down from this high of being officially welcomed into this Association! |

After tossing and turning I would get up and go into the family room and turn on my CD player and listen to your beautiful voice. Hearing you, I would relax enough to drift off and get a couple of hours sleep before having to get up and go to work. Thank you Bobbi Volleary |

Comments: | Dear Michael, You may not remember her face, but perhaps you remember the name, Joan Zygutis. She was my grandmother. Twice, she stood in line for 7 hours to have you sign counted cross-stitch pictures of you that she had made. She was a member of your fan association until she passed away on April 21, 2004. She means even more to me now that she is no longer here. Yet I find she is always with me every day and in everything I do. I personally have just seen The Phantom of the Opera for the first time, and felt compelled to write to you. To honor her memory in my own way, I am dedicating my first novel to her. No matter what happens, it will always be there, and that's the important thing. |

Comments: | Hi Michael! Actually, I did not "just surf on in"--I am a previous member of your fan club from the early- to-mid 1990s. Upon entering grad school, for financial reasons, I canceled my membership--I still am on a very limited income as adjunct faculty at two colleges, but I'm interested in rejoining. I saw you in Cleveland, Ohio, in concert, "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber," after which I placed membership. I also have several of your CD's and a couple of videos. I tell everyon about your astounding vocal talent--which is indescribable on "Gethsemane"; my stepson and daughter-in-law saw you in Vegas in EFX, because I told them they HAD to. One of my "birth" son's and my most cherised piece of memorabilia is the picture of him as Phantom (for Halloween--complete with vacuum in the pic) which you signed and sent back to us with a note. (You said that it was a very nice vacuum cleaner.) He now is 24 with 2 children of his own, and he, too, tells everyone about your voice and disliked (a lot) the Phantom in the recently-released movie. He would not rest until his wife got to hear you on my CD. (I've watched the movie so much that I've accepted Gerard Butler's "Phantom," but I didn't initially; and by far, I'd prefer you.) I am very sorry about your health problems and will be praying for you. I know exactly how frustrating it is for someone who is so active to not be able to do the things so important to him/her, being in that boat myself. Not to say this is true of you, of course; but for me getting older has been a tremendous adjustment. Ta ta for now--just wanted you to know that I'm still a fan (my son, too) and one of your volunteer publicity agents after more than a decade, even though, formally, I've been out of the loop. Comments: | Michael, I am a seventeen (almost eighteen) year old student with the ambition of pursuing a career in musical theatre... Crazy hey? At least that's what most people seem to think. Anyway, I'm valadictorian of my grad class, I've been accepted to university, and yet all I really want to do is be on the stage. I'm a trained vocalist and have been acting on and off since I was little. Any advice for a phantom obsessed, ambitious, young aspiring singer/actor? I am a HUGE phantom phan, and I have to tell you that your voice is unlike anything I have ever heard before. You truly are an Angel of Music in your own right. Thank you for your gifts to the world. |

Comments: | Hi! I loved you in the Broadway version of Phantom. I have the cd's (for those that want them, go to your local CD store and look at soundtracks. Make sure it is the original cast version). I think that Andrew Lloyd Webber made the biggest mistake when he ignored the diehard Phantom fans and didnt put you as the Phantom. The movie would have been one of the highest grossing movies this year. But instead we all boycotted it. I really do hope that I get to see you in Dallas in October. And I really hope that you come back as the Phantom soon! |

Comments: | HI Michael I had become a fan of yours because of the Phantom of the Opera movie with Gerard Butler. I thought he had only technique no spirit or soul. I was curious about the Broadway cast that I heard so much about in my early twenties. I had bought the cds I was shocked, impressed with your hypnotic voice.I have become a fan since December 2004. I think Andrew Lloyd Webber should have hired you as the Phantom in the movie. I love your song Gethsemane, very powerful, dramatic, you have amazing voice. Good Luck with your USA Concerts in the Fall. |
