Comments: Dear Michael I hope this reaches you because I wrote once to you and you sent me back the warmest letter. I wrote you some 12 yrs ago just after my Dad had died. I told you he was a firefighter for 33yrs and died of a heart attack at 68 before he got to go to Hawaii and that the last concert he went to was yours at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany. My Mom and he had front row seats and how this tough guy who never went to shows fell in love with your voice. I bought them those tickets and I took them to see the Phantom too but I never had the honor of hearing you sing. I have the 25th Anniversary tape and I love how you came out at the end and they said none of them would have been there without you. I pray to my Dad my guardian angel everyday for your health and I hope someday you will rtn to our area and I wb priviledged to see and hear you. I said this before and I say again there wb only 1 Phantom 1 singer who gives me chills and reminds of my Dad so much. I've never met you but I know I would love you as a friend if I ever did because you have the sparkle of live in your eyes and no illness will ever diminish your spirit. Please take care and know you have a whole world of little people who love you. If you ever want to call 1-518-785-3179 or 8 Verdi Blvd Latham NY 12110. I keep your last letter in the den with my Dads firefighting memorabilia. Love Donna

Comments: Am glad to see you doing well after your return to active life, it gives hope to your fellow ME/CFS friends. If you are not already doing so, you should consider writing a book about your experience. I have had ME/CFS for 5.5yrs now and know full well that even those we live with everyday can not fully understand or even comprehend what we go through. I am 38yrs old and am basically housebound for the last two years, I do what I can to help promote awareness for ME/CFS, but can not sing that well, your voice is much more pleasing to listen to and could reach so many more ears. Best of luck to you this year, may it bring you continued good health. Warmest Regards, Nichole.

Comments: I've been Michael's fan for years but most recently for his magnificent voice and his sensitive use of it. In fact, Mr. Crawford, you can do ANYTHING, I think, and I appreciate it. I wrote you after Bob Hope's show in the 1990's & you sent me a letter (WITH Phantom letterhead!!) & an autographed photo. I treasure them . . . almost as much as I treasure YOU! I remember the tears you shed on camera about your grandmother; your hilarity on other things; "Music of the Night" at the 1990 Tony Awards. Thank you for sharing your whole self with us, your adoring public! Betty.

Comments: Thought that I would like to comment on how much I loved Michael Crawford's Christmas cd 'O Holy Night'. I have been a fan of his from way back in the sixties. However, this album is, perhaps, the very best Christmas recording I have ever hear from any singer. His voice is magical and so very on target. If anyone out there has not yet heard it, do yourself a great favor and buy it. You will never regret it.

Comments: What a thrill it was to see you as The Phantom of The Opera at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Your performance was commanding, compelling, tender and unforgettable. You stole our hearts that night. It was twenty years ago and yet the memory of that night is fresh and alive in me.

Comments: Dear Mr. Crawford: There are some who sing, and then there is you. Your music is not transfered from voice to ear; it is transfered from soul to soul. So thank you Michael Crawford for faithfully sharing your gift with us for so many years. I pray that you continue to sing for years to come. May God bless you.

Comments: Hello Michael First of all welcome to New Zealand! I hope this beautiful place is helping in restoring your spirit. I am Scottish originally from Edinburgh and i moved to NZ 13 years ago, for much the same reason as you. To restore my soul after i lost my mum. I have enjoyed the peace and easy lifestyle here. I just want to say i have been a huge fan since Some Mother's which i now watch with my children, who think it is hilarious. I loved you in Phantom and your beautiful voice is a joy to me. I came across an album the other day which was you singing " Disney" songs. Well i have to say Michael, it is wonderful and has moved me to tears! The emotion you bring to the songs is very touching. Look after yourself Michael. Keep Smiling!

Comments: Dear Sir, Michael Crawford

First of all, I'd like to thank you for the wonderful music you have give us all these years. We feel how much you love your work, which inspires us to do better in things we engage in every single time. I hope you will continue to make more albums, and how I desire to hear you sing the September Song, A Time for Us, and Nessum Dorma. How I wish also that you'd reunite with Ms. Sarah Brightman to do the Phantom of the Opera, to grace the first score of the 21st century, one more time, especially that young and middle aged people, like many of us, did not have a chance to see your classic performance on the big stage. How I wish Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber toys with that idea just as how he thought about the comeback of Cats.

Good luck to you and we hope to hear inspiring notes from your end.

Comments: Dear Micheal

I recently seen Phantom this week, and since then I have been listening to your music and I have to say, it always sends goosebumps up my arm and warms my heart everytime I hear Music of the Night. I have never had a particular favorite of anything as there is so much great music, comedy and films out there, but I have a favorite musical now. I have a favorite Phantom too.

It is amazing to me how moved I get with your singing, not just from Phantom but even with Hello Dolly. I was in tears watching Wall-E when that song came on. What a beautifully amazing voice you have.

Also as a child i loved Some Mother's and still laugh at the well timed gags and stunts to this day. An all time great show.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents with the world. Words cannot explain how much you are apperciated from all your fans.

Kind Regards

Rob Souter

Comments: dear michael, it was great to read in the last member newsletter #notes about your involvement in the olympic games, i will be watching intently the team gb for the sync swimmers. of cours i will be cheering for my aussie teams first, but then are you still cheering for the new zealand ones as well? I hope so, as you reside there now. but i guess your heart if always for gb first. it was interesting to read that you now have a interest in helpint people who have had the illness you suffered when unable to work and are giving advice to who asks. i think that is great and very courageous of you. you are an inspiration to all and your selfness and concern for others always shines through. you have give me much strength and hopefully courage to enable me to continue looking after my ill mother (who is going on 89) and my ill daughter who is just 18. we have had a terrible three to four years of my daughter being ill. she is recovering from anoerxia and now has a hosts of problems with coming of medication(what that does to a persons is mind blowing) and i am trying to cope on my own. i am a single mother (and have been for most of the 1 8 years) and now i look after my mum. it is heartwarming and very satisfying (as you would now looking after your Nan for so long.)

i am hoping that my dear mother (Frances) but she is know as Tottie (to her grandchildren) has a few years left, as i do not know what i would do without her. i would be totally devastated if she left us now.

we have moved to the country (in victoria, near puffing billy up in the dandenong mountains). I dont know if you know that area Michael, as you would be more familiar with Sydney now your daughter lives there. it is quite beautiful and we have managed to move and try to set up the garden etc. i am hoping to grow my own vegies and have started a few fruit trees. not on your scale, but it is so satisfying to do so.

anyway, must go now, as you have more things to do with your time than to read constant e-mails.

just another reminder to thank you so much for what you have done for me, in being there in song to listen to, to encourage me, and to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. god bless you michael.

regards, robyn plant. p.s. hope you plan a trip or concert to australia soon,. would love to take my daughter, alaysha see you.

Comments: Hi Michael, greetings from Spokane WA in the USA. Thank goodness that many 'Spokanites' are also Anglophiles for the local thrift shops and rummage sales are abound with classic Brit VHS tapes and DVD disks! The other day we hit the jackpot at the local Salvation Army thrift shop when I found a VHS tape containing three episodes of "Some Mother's do Ave Em"! I had not laughed so hard in years. Now it ranks among my very best VHS finds, tied with only "The Dresser", which I also love to watch. Your pathos for the human condition is tangible, and your interpretation of 'everyman' in the form of Frank Spencer, is so utterly brilliant. Bravo, you thespian of clever mind and of a boundless creative energy. Thank you for all of your benevolent contributions, and may the 'force' be with you forever. Cheers, Roger.

Comments: Dear Mr. Crawford,

Hoping you and your family are well. I once had a ticket to hear you sing when you were on tour with "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber" (it was a long time ago). The concert was cancelled due to a very unexpected April snowstorm. After a rest from being "The Wizard", do you have plans for a new album or perhaps a tour? After all these years, I still have my fingers crossed to hear you sing in person.

I listen to you singing Music of the Night on CD in the car every time I go home from school. Just watched Phantom 25 and my favorite part was when you came out at the end for the celebration, even though it was on DVD I started clapping with this grin on my face! It's sad many people my age don't have a lot of appreciation for real music. Best wishes from one of your biggest fans! Love, Elaine Cole PS. You will always be my favorite actor and singer!

Comments: Hi Michael! I thought you might like to know that the lyrics to 'Angel of Music' came true for me a couple of years ago. I had your picture that you sent me (thank you SO much, by the way)tucked into a corner of my mirror in my room. I was at my desk doing homework and happened to be listening to the OLC recording of Phantom. When it came to the line, "Look at your face in the mirror/I am there inside", I happened to look up and wouldn't you know, the Phantom really WAS staring back at me! I thought that was hilarious. Thank you again for sending the picture--it was very thoughtful of you. And--I absolutely loved the Royal Albert Hall performance of Phantom. I just got it on Blu-Ray and was so excited to see you there!

Comments: It is truly remarkable to have seen such a great talent on screen. A hero from my youth, since I saw the movie Condorman for the first time when I was six years old, now I am twenty-eight. One the greatest gifts I ever got for my birthday was the movie on DVD. Still the movie doesn't fade out of my memory. Even now, when I write this, I hear Mr. Spencer on the background in my mind. Also that show always brings a smile on my face, and keeps getting funnier ever time I watch it. So, Mr. Crawford when you read this, if you read this...just like Chaplin, you will never be forgotten. Thank you for laughs you brought me and keep on bringing me. I wish you good health and everything else you desire. From another one of your many fans, thank you for the joy and congratulations to your work.

Comments: It is so nice to know that there is a real talent who is also a genuinely good, decent person. I wrote to Mr. Crawford way back in 1987 when I graduated from law school and he was kind enough to write me a note. I had learned how close he had been to his grandmother and I, too, had been raised by a grandmother and I had commented on that. From all I have ever been able to find out about him, he seems to be the genuine article --- good through and through. I hope he feels the pleasure of God upon him as he uses his talents.

Comments: I was never fortunate enough to see Michael perform, but when I was very young, my parents told me that I would fall asleep listening to The Phantom of the Opera. I saw the production of "Phantom" in Las Vegas in November, 2011 for my 21st birthday. Best birthday present ever, but I wish I could have seen Michael perform. My grandfather and I would listen to different operas when I was younger, we played piano together and sang together all the time. He directed 3 choirs back in the day and, to me, was a musical genius. I started playing piano when I was 5 and I continue to play piano for him, since he has now passed away. I have started arranging my own music and play it in my church, dedicated to my grandfather. One day, my grandfather and I were listening to The Phantom of the Opera, and he told me Michael Crawford was one of his favorite voices, and ever since that day I have been a Michael Crawford fan. So thank you for being an inspiration in my life and for being an inspiration to my grandfather. Good luck with everything you do! Jacci

Comments: Hello Micheal I do hope you get to read this. I missed you again, my intensions were to get down to London to see you in The Wizard of Oz, and yet again it was not meant to be, either University, photography obligations or health problems prevented the journey. This has been the case for nearly thirty years now; I never quite made it to see you perform at the least. My dream of meeting you unless you go on tour that involves the UK and Scotland are now all but dashed, but you never now.

I would just like to say although a fan, I appreciate and have loved you as an actor, comedian and singer and your lifetime commitment to us, has been and still is overwhelming and I thank you for this. I have heard on the grapevine talk of award and merit for exceptional achievement and service to entertainment, this you certainly deserve. Good luck and thank you for the all those memories and music. I will be asking you if you would be so kind enough to send a signed photograph. Next time you’re on Facebook check me out, all the very best

Kindest regards
