well, I'm an 18 year old fan from California. When I was little I remember seeing Hello Dolly. cornelius was my favorite character. Now I am a huge Phantom phan, and I just really like Michael Crawford's voice. plus, it's great to see someone who can be serious and hilarious. I had become a fan of yours because of the Phantom of the Opera movie with Gerard Butler. I thought he had only technique no spirit or soul. I was curious about the Broadway cast that I heard so much about in my early twenties. I had bought the cds I was shocked, impressed with your hypnotic voice.I have become a fan since December 2004. I think Andrew Lloyd Webber should have hired you as the Phantom in the movie.
I love your song Gethsemane, very powerful, dramatic, you have amazing voice.

I am writing you due to the fact that I highly admire your voice. You inspired me to join my school choir and I found singing to be a most enjoyable and passionate subject. I always listen to Broadway and Opera, but I am very truthful when I say that you have the most perfect voice I have ever heard. I guess I thought you were due to some credit for introducing me to the love of music, so thank you. It wasn't very easy to find a place to contact you, due to the fact that there are so many Michael Crawfords. I'm so mad you weren't in POTO movie. I been listening to you since my mom bought the album in the early 90's. Everytime I see it on broadway, its always dissappointing because I expect to hear you voice. I think its one that would be impossible to duplicate. Also the movie was horrible without you as the role. Gerald made the phantom not seem as human, likeable, and powerful as you.
I've never seen you live, only small clips as the phantom on websites. Is there anything of you as the phantom, a fully recorded broadway performance? If I can't see you live, I really hope/wish to see you when you did play phantom. A release of that would far outsell the movie ALW made. I did see clips of you, and also Sarah at the graveyard scene and wonder why they didn't do the movie then, it would of been great.
If there is anyway to get a copy email me I will gladly pay whatever for it.

When I was 6 years old my parents bought the Phantom of the Opera cd and made the mistake of letting me hear it. by the age of 7 I knew every song and every line and your singing captivated me and became my standard for singing. That same year I got the chance to visit Toronto and see it at the Pantages theatre where i was captivated and inspired. Since then i have participated in special chorus, honors chorus, and many other honor groups for singing. I have also become very involved with my school musicals and hope to attend school for the performing arts. Your music still inspires a 17yr old boy surrounded in a world of violence and music that butchers all things beautiful. Thank you for the hope and courage that your music granted me and I will always be your biggest fan and shall continue to see the stage show everytime it comes.

If ALW & JS does give you role, take it if they pay you alot of money. Remember their POTO lost money. If they had you in proper role of the Phantom you would have gotten an oscar nomination or an oscar for best actor.Their movie would made alot more if you were the Phantom commands everyone with his Angel of Music.

| Comments: | The Phantom of Opera the movie was gravely a disappointment, I wished you-Michael Crawford were the Phantom or they should have given you-MC another new written part, maybe Christine's dying father or Raoul's brother Phillipe who was in the book who mysteriously is found dead. These two brothers were twenty years apart.
I wish and hope all doors will open up for you whether it is movie, tv,music, stage.
Maybe someday AWL&JS will crawl on their hands and knees, and they will beg and plead in vain to offer you the best role possible in a movie.
You please tell them no get Gerard Butler play in my behalf,so their precious movie will loose tons, tons money. |

I am so sorry that ALW did not enlist you & your magnificent voice for the movie. That would have made it perfect.The reason I finally bought the movie, was because I love the story. I also recentley bought the Remastered version the the POTO with the original cast. Your voice is magnificent as is SB. When I saw the play, several years ago, it wasn't with you & maybe that is why it has taken me so long to become a fan of the POTO. Now I play it so much that me family wants to disown me. | Comments: | I first listened to the record of POTO at the home of an English friend in 1987, and have been hooked since. Michael’s voice is so exceptional, especially when he sings the high notes – so powerfully bright, effortlessly free and yet with the natural appeal, which no one can compare. I went to the movie a few times because I love the music and never got to see the stage show. But the more I watch the movie, the more I feel terribly disappointed with the Phantom (by Gerard Butler). I don’t understand what makes GB think that he has the stuff to play this role. I am not saying it has to be Michael to be the Phantom in the movie but it has to be someone at least can sing and act musically. I adore and admire Michael not only because he is such an exceptional singer and actor but also because he has a lot other talents too. I recently watched Barnum on DVD, and am so amazed by the stunts and real circus he did on the stage. How can someone be so talented?! I also found Michael very SEXY in his roles too. I don’t believe sexy always means strut around with open shirt and dreamy eyes, etc. Michael is SEXY because of his athletic body (not the body-builder type but the slim Marathon runner type), his physical capacity of doing so much without showing effort, his natural boyish smile, his sense of humor, and of course, his brilliant voice. I can’t say enough about how I appreciate Michael’s talents and performance. I am also interested to know if Michael’s version of POTO is available on DVD – would love to get one if possible. |

| Comments: | Hello Everyone, I am new to the Micheal Crawford sceen, I myself have never seen Micheal perform. My mother is the fan and she is going to be 60 years old this October. Her dream has always been to see Micheal perform the phantom in london. I have inquired about a trip threw our travel agent to go and see Micheal in the phantom in England, and they booked a show and a hotel. Reading the letters on this sight i am concerned that it wouldn't be him doing the performance. Can anyone tell me if, and when, he will perform this roll and where, as it will be an awful lot of money spent for me to waste if he's not the one doing the performance my mother has already seen the phantom twice, it is not the show she wants to see it's Micheal Crawford as the phantom that she wants to see. I've always had the original cast recording CD, constantly listening to it. It just never gets old. I then saw the new Phantom of the Opera movie and just as soon as I heard the actor's voice in it I was immediately dissapointed. I also saw the performance of it at a local performance hall. NOTHING I have ever heard has compared to your talent. It is the most amazing I have ever heard and I will continute to listen to your performance of it until the day I rest.
