For the longest time you were the only Phantom I ever knew, and to this day, I still think no one can quite measure up to you. Right now, I'm working up the courage to ask my mom if I can join the MCIFA, but I have a feeling that, for now at least, the answer will be a "no." Well, I'll join some day...that's definately for sure! Oh, and good luck with your concert tour!! I'll try to convince my mom to let me go to that too!!!

I have always had the dream of meeting you and seeing you perform on stage (in The Phantom of the Opera). I am very sad that you aren't doing The Phantom of the Opera anymore....maybe you will do some special performance someday. I know you're probably sick of it though. LOL. I have had the opportunity to see you in it, but for some reason it just never happened. My mom kept saying that she would get tickets...but...anyway....I still want to see it (it's my favorite musical) but it won't be the same without you and Sarah. Maybe some day I will be able to at least see you perform on stage even if it's not The Phantom of the Opera. I really want to meet you and get your autograph...ever since I was a little girl, I've wanted to see you in The Phantom of the Opera and meet you and Sarah backstage and get your autographs. *Sighs* well...just don't lose that spectacular voice of yours. | Comments: | The mother of a friend I lost in 2003 wrote me a note on her birthday last week to say that she'd found the book: the Complete Phantom of the Opera that I'd sent backstage for you to sign for her daughter at the Ahmanson 16years ago (or was it 100?) You autographed "Happy Birthday Debbie and many more. Love, Michael Crawford" She said it was such a simple thing, but she wanted me to be sure that you knew what it meant to Debbie. THe little things we do (good & bad) have such an impact on the lives of those we meet. Thank you Michael. The majority of yours have been good. |

I am now 21 years old. But I grew up on your "Some Mothers Do Have 'Em".
This is only because my parents recorded the episodes for their kids. Seeing the comedies that come out these days I just wanted to thank you and the makers of this comedy for making it real and clean at the same time.

My wife and I were lucky enough to see him perform on a New Years Eve show in London of The Woman in White. The entire original cast were outstanding, and Michael as Count Fosco was tremendous and hilarious!

Just writing to say my daughter Zoe aged 5 is made keen on watching dvds of Some Mother Do 'Ave 'Em. She now knows every episode virtually off by heart.
You have been an inspiration in her love of drama and comedy, so much so that I am now taking her off to local stage classes which she loves.

However, your's is by far the best I have ever heard. You have the ability to really hold a high note, you have very good diction, and your voice is so beautiful that it puts me to tears.

| Comments: | In 1974 I went to see Billy and loved it. Afterwards we waited by the stage door, had a nice chat with Michael, and I got his autograph on the front of the LP I'd just purchased. I wrote to him saying that I was coming up to see the show again and on the 24th August I received a lovely signed postcard which I still have together with the envelope he wrote (though the envelope is rather tatty now). On the front of the card there's a lovely photograph of him and underneath he wrote "To Linda, Lots of love Michael Crawford xx". The back reads "Thanks for your letter Linda - glad you're coming to see the show again - I'm afraid I can't see you in the interval, but if you're in London early I'm usually at the theatre by 2.30pm - otherwise do say hello after the show. Love Michael." Unfortunately when I went to London early they were auditioning new dancers for the show so I didn't get to meet him again. |

| Comments: | I worked with Michael 4 years ago and he spent so much time with me while I was rehearsing so that I got everything right. I will never forget him. In the 7 weeks I was doing the shows I learnt so much and still use the same pointers that he helped me with. My insiration and idol. I am opening up in a new show in 2 weeks and I will take his insiration on stage with me.

| Comments: | I was so thrilled to find out about one of the songs that Michael Crawford did on "The Disney Album." I love "You'll Be in My Heart" from Tarzan, and Michael sounded wonderful on it. Just hearing his voice took my memory back to listening to my mom's copy of "Highlights from the Phantom of the Opera when I was still a kid. I loved it. Also, I just saw the YouTube video of "Only You." That was awsome. I'll make sure to put that on my list of cds to get. |
