The Lighthouse Foundation has been set up in Australia by Susan Barton to provide loving and permanent homes for adolescents who are in need. Many young people of today face rising unemployment, housing shortages, family breakdown, physical and sexual abuse, and above all, a lack of love and caring. Many of them run away to escape, only to find deeper troubles. The Lighthouse Foundation has been reaching out to these young people since 1991, providing an environment on which they can depend while receiving support, love, vocational training, and encouragement to take responsibility for their lives.
