I just wanted to say I've been a fan for years. I was honored and privlaged to meet you in person, to have you reply to a fan letter I wrote, and to see you in concert. the three biggest thrills in my life.

you've been an inspriation to me in my own singing and theater career. you're voice still echos in my home today. and I have had the joy of watching "Some Mothers do 'Ave 'Em" on BBC America.

I will be joining the fan club very soon. I wish you accepted paypal so I can join right away, but I'll have to settle for the slow post I suppose.

Thank you for your years of entertainment and please never stop singing.

Michael, you have to be the most phenomenal singer that I have ever heard! The first time that I heard you sing, I was crying...I remember growing up listening up to the Phantom of the Opera, particularly the Music of the Night to put me to sleep and to put my mind at ease, since I was so scared of the dark when I was younger. I just wish that I would have been able to see you on Broadway. (I finally got to go this year to see it in NY, and I am going again in December!!!) I frequently go on Ebay to find videos and pictures of you from on Broadway, since I would like to at least experience what it was like for those who were a little older than I was at the time. I own all of your CD's, your DVD's, and book. You have inspired so many people to sing because of your beautiful voice, thank you so very much for helping me to find mine again, and helping me find something in my life that makes me so very happy!!! :)

Hello, Michael. I am sorry I never got to see YOU as Phantom, however I listen to the CD at least once a week. I was hooked and fell in love with the first sound of your voice. That was five years ago and I still listen to your cd's every day. Hoping to meet you in person someday! I adore you!

All my life I've loved music, and have been in local and school casts of Phantom, Les Mis, AoL, and many others. Michael, you've been an inspiration, and have made me only push harder to grasp my dream of being a musical stage actor. There's so much I want to say, but I'll have to let a simple thank you suffice. I wish you luck in all your endeavors.

Hi!

A good artist also has to cope with criticism. And I think there really has to be a word of criticism concerning the way Michael Crawford disfigured "Dance of the Vampires" on Broadway. The show was great before, it had just the right measure of humor, profoundness, vivality and of course *death* - There was no need of making a flat and ridiculous show out of it only because Mr. Crawford didn't want to have the role of Krolock so similar to the role of Phantom. The figure of the count originally is full of grace, sublimeness and mystery. I am sure that if Steve Barton had played the role "Dance of the Vampires" would have been played a LOT longer on Broadway for he respected this character of Krolock.

So I am sorry to say that it is really a shame what Mr. Crawford did to this wonderful figure and this great musical.

This is not a personal offensive As I have already said above - this is only criticism.

I have been a fan of Michael's since my time in England back in the 1970's - laughing my way through "Some Mother's Do 'ave Em" .. i was also lucky enough to see MC in the musical Billy - and like Phantom - he was hardly far from the stage and giving 200 percent every step of the way...

Thanks Michael - even though i never got to see him as The Phantom - lets hear it for cds...

God bless you MC

Just rediscovered POTO and MC after approximately 12 or 13 years (when MC left CA to tour with ALW Concert).

So much has happened! Had to catch up and purchase all the CD's and videos released. Unfortunately, missed 1998 concert but at least there's a video.

Great fun but a bit painful to watch "Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em" but last two shows on #4 video cassette were enjoyable with stunts on motorbike and singing to baby Jessica.

POTO is back at the Ahmanson Theater 10/03 to 12/03 in Los Angeles - won't be the same without MC though!

Hi, Michael. I am feeling very sad today because I didn't get my dark blue folder and because I recorded the Ren and Stimpy show over Hello Dolly. It's just not right. I can't believe that I have done those stupid mistakes. I am so sad... I wish there was something you could do for me because you're a really lovely person. I write this sadly because I forgot to eject the Hello Dolly tape and I forgot my folder. "cries" "sob sob sob" "sniff"

I cried tears of joy when I heard a clip of your rendition of On Eagle's Wings. "cries more" I hope you love the song called "Thank You For the Music". It's my rendition of it anyway.

Dear Mr. Crawford,
I'm sure you don't get much oppurtunity to read these things, but if you do, I pray you read mine. I'm 14 years old, and 2 years ago, I picked up the book, Phantom of the Opera, and loved it from the 1st page to the end. I knew it was/& still is a play, so I got the soundtrack, and the moment I heard your voice, I had to learn more about you. I'm quite happy to find that you have a soul as beautiful as your voice. Everytime I listen to any of your music I feel inspired. I want to thank you for sharing you wonderful gift with myself and the world.

I can't believe that it has taken me almost five years to find this site. I just need to tell you, Michael, what a force you have been in my life.
November 10,1998 was the darkest day of my life. At 9:30pm we got the phone call no parent wants to receive. Our 20 year old son, Kurt Christian, was dead! My JOY left that very instant.
My sister, knowing that my FAITH was shattered, gave me your CD, ON EAGLE'S WINGS. During the past five years,I have listened over and over to "On Eagle's Wings," and other songs from the CD, and have felt that you were singing the messages directly to me.
Kurt was impulsive and full of Joy. He lived his life knowing that God was taking care of him. I did too until the day he died. Then I questioned. I forgot. Thank you for reminding me constantly that God has answered my prayers, "Always keep him safe" He did, and will FOREVER! Thank You, and thank GOD for you

I don’t know whether you actually get time to read this, but if you do, hi! If you don’t its possibly not a bad thing as I’m most likely going to sound like a complete and utter idiot! Anyway here it goes… First of all I would just like to say that (and I know you’ve probably heard it a million times before…but not from me ;)) I think you are a really lovely person and are one of the very few superstars, megastars, what ever you are, that still actually act human and don’t see yourself as higher than everybody else.
Ok, now I’m all done with the flattery, I’m going to bore you with yet another comment about phantom, sorry. I have the Cd and Lp of phantom with the original cast but I was too young to go and see it, (born in 86). The first time I heard music of the night I was mesmerized I cannot describe the feeling it gives me, it makes me cry every time I hear it, call me crazy but it does. When I heard the film was being made I was ecstatic! But to hear that you may not be playing the Phantom is heart breaking! You never know though, there is still time before the film actually comes out, maybe Lord Webber, Lord Andrew, Andy, whatever he goes by, might come to his senses and cast the original phantom with the original voice in the original…role, that sounded much better in my head, anyway, you get my drift… or not. I guess what I’m trying to say is you may be older now (older, not old) but you still have that beautiful, powerful voice – you are the phantom and always will be, that’s a complement, really, I’m not calling you old or grotesque or… anyway, I’m going to go now because I’ve written practically a book and rambled for half an hour about nothing really, so good luck with all you do and may happiness reign over… something.
“Your obedient friend…”
(Sorry)

P.s. I’m going to have one more attempt at embarrassing myself because I don’t feel I’ve made enough of a fool of myself yet. I wrote this, well just now really coz I was bored, I thought I might send it to Mr Lloyd Webber, what do you think?

Dear Andrew
How could you not cast him?
Michael Crawford was a great success,
Give us back our O.G,
And soon you will see,
Basically
You made the right decision
With Precision
And your film will be immense

(Supposed to be like the phantoms notes to the mangers, get it? No? ok…)

Hi, Michael. I just got back from church. Everything is going great with my grandmother and me. I was so very disappointed when I heard that you didn't get the part of Erik in The Phantom of the Opera. But at least I was glad that you were in Dance of the Vampires. I'm going to watch A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum right when I get off of the computer. Every night I fall asleep to the song called Music of the Night. It is just so soothing. So how is your weekend so far? Mine is going great because I watched some of Hello Dolly yesterday. I love that movie and I loved it in the year 2001. I watched it on AMC in April of 2002 when I lived at Grandma's house with my family. Bye!
