Dear Angel Of Music: I just want to thank you and your voice. The emotion I hear has helped me start writing again after a year long dry spell. One day I hope to shake the hand of the Phantom of the Opera.

Dear Michael.I have been a big fan of yours in the last five years. I remember Phamtom of Opera opening when i was a teenager, but unfortunatley didn't pay too much attention to it at the time. Since then my taste in music has changed and i am now mad about musicals and am obsessed with Phantom. I have seen the musical twice,but didn't get to see you starring in it. I became a big fan when i got the Phantom soundtrack for Christmas five years ago and saw the film with Gerard Butler in the starring role. To me you are 'The Phanatom'. I now have your albums and read your autobiography Parcel Arrived Safely - Tied with String. There were some things in the book i totally understood and i couldn't put it down. I would just like to say thank you because you're a great and very talented British entertainer we should be proud of!

I am just writing to thank you with all my heart for the lovely letter you sent to me. My friend Colin wrote to you back in August last year telling you how inspirational you are to me and how you have helped me so much with my aspirations. You brought music into my life and for that I am eternally grateful.
When your letter was given to me I broke down to tears, I could not believe my eyes. It was so amazing to feel that someone you have idolised for your whole life would respond with such kind hearted words and praise.

I will never ever forget how happy you have made me.

Oh and by the way the picture you sent was lovely and will not be used as "a dart board!"

Hi Michael I have just auditioned for BGT and told the producer that you are my hero he said that he had never heard anyone say that you was their hero before and started to ask me why? Well the truth is you have always been an inspiration to me and many others and I told him this he then asked me too sing another song from the Stage as you was my hero and he had enjoyed my previous song. So I sang "Love changes everything" and he asked me to go and sing it live infront of the tv cameras and others waiting to audition. I got a round of applause hopefully one day I might be able to meet you if I dont get voted off. All the best Michael if you actually read this we miss you visit us.

I first saw you when I was really young in "Condorman" I loved that movie, then I saw "Hello Dolly" and then the "Phantom" and WOW. I just wanted you to know that you´ve made me laugh, cry, fall in love and dream. I don´t think there will ever be an actor like you, so thank you so much for all the good times.

I guess I've always been an on-and-off Michael Crawford fan; I first heard part of the original cast album of Phantom of the Opera in my 8th grade choir when I was 12 or 13, and that was the first time I was introduced to that wonderful voice! And of course, I heard it every Christmas with that great rendition of O Holy Night!
I recently became interested again when I saw that Phantom documentary on Ovation. I found a Youtube clip of Music of the Night, and that lovely voice hooked me again!! Also, the covers of the Disney songs are outstanding! And then there were the Hello Dolly clips in WALL-E, which I also loved...
Is Michael still performing? I have a feeling he's probably enjoying retirement now, and if so, all my best to him. If in fact he's still touring, may I suggest a concert in Arizona?

Anyway hello to you Michael and I hope someday you will be touring again. My wife and I saw you years (can't remember how long ago) ago at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston,MI and we were so thrilled by it. Hope to see you again.

I've been a fan for years but sort of drifted away. Then, I saw the Ovation airing of Phantom of the Opera behind the Mask and have a renewed and stronger admiration for his talent. His music takes me places. It's hard to explain but thank you Michael.

Here's to the original and best Phantom!! I went with my husband to see you in "The Music of ALW" in Chicago back in the 90's and we were both awestruck with your voice! I think we wore out the soundtrack playing it so much over the years! You tube has your performances on it and I have to be grateful, since I will always remember that your rendition always made me care the most for the Phantom - God Bless and come visit Chicago again, we miss you!!

I have been very fortunate to have met you several times over the years.. at the backstage door at "Phantom" in Los Angeles, "EFX" Signing and MCIFA gathering, but the most treasured meeting was the one in San Francisco when you toured with "The Music Of ALW". It was my birthday and I spent about 20 minutes with you after the show, just hanging out in your dressing room. Great memory. Thank you Michael!

Dear Mr. Crawford,
I am a young-yet great-fan, only twelve turning thirteen soon in Sept. I have always loved Phantom of the Opera ever since I first saw it two years ago as the movie. I must say I became obsessed with it and began surfing youtube for anything that had to do with it, I of course found Music of the Night by Michael Crawford. I clicked on it and was astounded by one of the most wonderful voices I had ever heard! I stopped my obsession turning to my books and school. Until I went recently on a site this summer that excepted fan-fiction and began writing many Phantom of the Opera stories with you as my inspiration, and my obsession for the wonderful phantom took off. Therefore I started listening to the music again. Although I liked and like Gerard Butler's phantom I started listening so much more to your's. As I listened more to your's I started listening to all of your albums and realized how amazing and soul lifting your voice is! I have recently discovered the album, On Eagle's Wings, which brought me to tears because not only was it very good music but your voice made it all the more better. Since I am a teenager life can be hard and very stressful, but I find myself more often every day coming home to write (I have hopes of becoming an author when older) and listening to your voice which often relaxes me, helps me think and choose right decisions in life, and makes me very happy. Your voice is absolutely bliss, and I am so glad you have a sense of humor and such a good heart and soul! You are my favorite, besides the book, Erik! I love your humbleness, and the way you act with such passion and really put yourself into the music and your performances. I often find myself humming and singing your songs they bring much joy and happiness. I laughed so much on your Michael Crawford Live in Concert after you sang Gethsemane, good job on that long note! Although I love phantom so much I have not yet seen one performance live, I hope in time I do though, so wish me luck in seeing one and becoming a writer when older!

I just wanted to say how wonderful I think Michael Crawford is!! My mom and I are huge fans and I am hoping that one day Michael does a concert in Pittsburgh that I can take my mom to. IT would be a dream come true for the both of us!! He has a wonderful voice and also a wonderful outlook on life. I just finished rereading his book for the umpteenth time.

I love Michael's singing/acting/etc. I wish they had free membership for those who can't afford to pay for the membership on here though. Believe me if I had the money, I would pay for it, but can't do it unfortunately. :( Great site too! :)

Michael Crawford's music and talent has meant a lot to me over the years. His voice is uplifting and inspiring to listen too. It really moves the soul. I also admire the work he does helping children.

I'm from Denmark and right now Phantom is runing again at "Det Ny Teater" (The New Theatre) and I went to see it (of course) - and even though the cast did a wonderful job and the lyrics are well translated, it's just not the same as listening to the original cast recording - the main difference being Mr. Crawford.
So that's why I just wanted to pop by (as countless others have done) and say hello and thanks for everything, Michael!

I've bought several of your albums and I hope one day you might come to Denmark :-) (?)

I was unhappy when it wasn't aired anymore.Only to hear from rumours that you died in a plane crash after a documentary you did in Angola.

I have been a fan of yours since I was a little girl. Your music has had the most profound effect upon my life! Growing up I completely immersed myself in your music, entranced by something I couldn't name. I think all these years later I have finally figured out what it is that makes you such an amazing performer and what has made me such an ardent fan! It isn't just the beautiful sound of your voice that makes you successful, it is the heart and enthusiasm that you put into everything that you do! Every single piece of music that I have ever heard you sing was filled with your heart and soul! You never do a half job! You always give everything your all and put all of yourself into it and it really shows! You always make the audience feel exactly what your character feels because there is so much raw emotion in your performances! What an amazing gift! That is very rare and you are the best at it!

Your enthusiasm and love for what you do is also very evident when you perform as well and to tell the truth, it was you and your emotion, enthusiasm, and your magical voice that inspired me to want to be an actress as a little girl! My whole life that was what I wanted to be. Well it never worked out, but now I'm working on starting a career as a voiceover artist, hopefully recording books, commercials, etc. and though it isn't theater, you still inspire me!
