Comments: Just to say hello, and say that I am very pleased to have found this site. I was surfing around musical sites and thought why not try Michael's name?

Anyway hello to you Michael and I hope someday you will be touring again. My wife and I saw you years (can't remember how long ago) ago at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston,MI and we were so thrilled by it. Hope to see you again.

Comments: Here's to the original and best Phantom!! I went with my husband to see you in "The Music of ALW" in Chicago back in the 90's and we were both awestruck with your voice! I think we wore out the soundtrack playing it so much over the years! You tube has your performances on it and I have to be grateful, since I will always remember that your rendition always made me care the most for the Phantom - God Bless and come visit Chicago again, we miss you!!

Comments: I have been very fortunate to have met you several times over the years.. at the backstage door at "Phantom" in Los Angeles, "EFX" Signing and MCIFA gathering, but the most treasured meeting was the one in San Francisco when you toured with "The Music Of ALW". It was my birthday and I spent about 20 minutes with you after the show, just hanging out in your dressing room. Great memory. Thank you Michael!

Comments: Dear Mr. Crawford, I am a young-yet great-fan, only twelve turning thirteen soon in Sept. I have always loved Phantom of the Opera ever since I first saw it two years ago as the movie. I must say I became obsessed with it and began surfing youtube for anything that had to do with it, I of course found Music of the Night by Michael Crawford. I clicked on it and was astounded by one of the most wonderful voices I had ever heard! I stopped my obsession turning to my books and school. Until I went recently on a site this summer that excepted fan-fiction and began writing many Phantom of the Opera stories with you as my inspiration, and my obsession for the wonderful phantom took off. Therefore I started listening to the music again. Although I liked and like Gerard Butler's phantom I started listening so much more to your's. As I listened more to your's I started listening to all of your albums and realized how amazing and soul lifting your voice is! I have recently discovered the album, On Eagle's Wings, which brought me to tears because not only was it very good music but your voice made it all the more better. Since I am a teenager life can be hard and very stressful, but I find myself more often every day coming home to write (I have hopes of becoming an author when older) and listening to your voice which often relaxes me, helps me think and choose right decisions in life, and makes me very happy. Your voice is absolutely bliss, and I am so glad you have a sense of humor and such a good heart and soul! You are my favorite, besides the book, Erik! I love your humbleness, and the way you act with such passion and really put yourself into the music and your performances. I often find myself humming and singing your songs they bring much joy and happiness. I laughed so much on your Michael Crawford Live in Concert after you sang Gethsemane, good job on that long note! Although I love phantom so much I have not yet seen one performance live, I hope in time I do though, so wish me luck in seeing one and becoming a writer when older! Sincerely, A great fan, Misty

P.S. I have seen some episodes of Some Mother's Do 'Ave 'Em and I have also seen Hello Dolly, both of which made me laugh. You continue to amaze and help young and old, I wish there were more people like you on earth! (You were my real first celebrity singer and actor crush...hee hee)

Comments: Mr. Crawford, I think you would be wonderful in role as King Arthur.

I can imagine you singing this song Camelot.

It's true! It's true! The crown has made it clear. The climate must be perfect all the year. A law was made a distant moon ago here: July and August cannot be too hot. And there's a legal limit to the snow here In Camelot.

I love all your movies, I have most to all of your cds. I think you are a great Phantom. Please do not retire.

Comments: Hello Michael! It doesn't seem possible that I saw you nearly 16 years ago performing in "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber" in Pittsburgh, PA. That was an unforgettable concert for me, and I still remember the power of your voice filling the auditorium. No one else will ever sing "Music of the Night" with the absolute magic you do, because that tenderness comes straight from your heart. I think of you often and hope that you are well and happy. All the best to you, my friend, and thank you for giving us so many truly transcendent musical moments. Love, Pamela

Mr. Crawford is the type of performer young and old seem to gravitate to for warmth, his compassion, caring, and his top notch work. A man who is the BEST in is field, and whatever he does it shows. Long may he live to entertain the masses. God Bless you, Mr. Crawford, Keep on Keep on. Joyce

Comments: Hello!

I'm from Denmark and right now Phantom is runing again at "Det Ny Teater" (The New Theatre) and I went to see it (of course) - and even though the cast did a wonderful job and the lyrics are well translated, it's just not the same as listening to the original cast recording - the main difference being Mr. Crawford. So that's why I just wanted to pop by (as countless others have done) and say hello and thanks for everything, Michael!

I've bought several of your albums and I hope one day you might come to Denmark :-) (?)

Also a thanks to the wonderful MCIFA!

Comments: Dearest Mr. Crawford,

I have been a fan of yours since I was a little girl. Your music has had the most profound effect upon my life! Growing up I completely immersed myself in your music, entranced by something I couldn't name. I think all these years later I have finally figured out what it is that makes you such an amazing performer and what has made me such an ardent fan! It isn't just the beautiful sound of your voice that makes you successful, it is the heart and enthusiasm that you put into everything that you do! Every single piece of music that I have ever heard you sing was filled with your heart and soul! You never do a half job! You always give everything your all and put all of yourself into it and it really shows! You always make the audience feel exactly what your character feels because there is so much raw emotion in your performances! What an amazing gift! That is very rare and you are the best at it!

Your enthusiasm and love for what you do is also very evident when you perform as well and to tell the truth, it was you and your emotion, enthusiasm, and your magical voice that inspired me to want to be an actress as a little girl! My whole life that was what I wanted to be. Well it never worked out, but now I'm working on starting a career as a voiceover artist, hopefully recording books, commercials, etc. and though it isn't theater, you still inspire me!

Thank you so much for a lifetime full of beautiful music and magical memories!

Your friend, Katie Z.

Comments: Mr. Crawford

I have been a fan of yours since I was 14 years old. When I first got my hands on the original Broadway cast album of The Phantom of the Opera, I recognized your name as that silly man, Cornelius Hackl, from Hello,Dolly! A personal favorite. I couldn't imagine that adorable little voice from that movie being powerful enough to carry the role of the emotionally shattered character of the Phantom. I was definitely shown how wrong I could be. I could hear the pain and suffering in your voice when you reached out to Christine with your love. I could also feel the anger that you had towards everyone that had hurt you in the past. I could feel the happiness and relief that you had whenever Christine was near you.

I knew that nothing could ever be the same after I was opened up to this beautiful piece of artwork that I had in front of me.

I wanted to physically see what you had to offer this character, so I went to my trusty youtube to help me out. And, oh my God, your hands! You have the most beautiful hands! Your hands would reach out to her with all of the longing and pain in the world. It was all so beautiful.

I've seen random interviews of you and you seem to be the most kind and caring and beautiful person that I've ever seen. One wish that I have is to eventually meet you sometime in my lifetime and talk with you one on one. I'm sure that by the time I would be with you, I'd forget how to speak!

I would just love to thank you for everything that you've done for me. I'm sure you would have no idea how much you have done for me. All I can say is that you've changed my life. For the better, don't worry. :)

-Emily-
